March 8: In Tunisia, committed women are persecuted and imprisoned

While the world celebrates International Women's Rights Day, in Tunisia, those who denounce injustice, defend freedoms and oppose arbitrariness find themselves imprisoned, prosecuted, defamed or forced into exile.

Their "crime"? Daring to speak out. To have refused to remain silent.

Arbitrary arrests, political trials, hate campaigns... Everything is done to erase their voices and intimidate those who would like to follow in their footsteps. Their commitment becomes a fault, their word a threat, their freedom a privilege snatched from them.

But despite prison, despite repression, their fight goes on. And we are here to remind them.

On this March 8, we refuse to be silent. We refuse to forget.

Solidarity with all women persecuted for defending justice and freedom.
